VISITORS to the Oxford-South Midland bus depot in Cowley Road, Oxford, in 1981 were given a glimpse of a bygone age.
The exhibition formed part of the celebrations marking the centenary of public transport in the city.
The first horse-drawn trams appeared on the streets in 1881 and continued to provide transport until 1913 when they were replaced by motor buses.
Among the exhibits was a 1920 Daimler restored to its original condition, plus a number of buses which once ran in the city and county.
