A 70-year-old driver escaped uninjured after her car was involved in a collision with an articulated lorry in West Way, Botley, yesterday.
The lorry driver, who did not want to be named, said he was reversing out of builders merchants Travis Perkins, opposite the entrance to Seacourt Tower, when the accident happened.
He said: “I indicated to go left and a guy let me out. The next thing I knew I had this lady pinned across my trailer.”
The driver of the car, a silver Nissan Note, who was seen by paramedics at the scene, declined to comment.
Emergency services were called to the accident at about 10.15am.
One lane of West Way was briefly closed while the vehicles were removed.
