TV presenters Matt Baker and Alex Jones will be pedalling a rickshaw into Oxford as part of a 700-mile feat for BBC Children in Need.

The One Show stars will be supporting the Rickshaw Challenge, which will see riders visiting all four UK nations in an eight-day relay to raise cash for disadvantaged children and young people across the country.

Team Rickshaw will be made up of five young people, each supported by projects funded by BBC Children in Need.

The challenge begins on Friday, November 8, in Northern Ireland and the group will reach Oxford on day seven, Thursday, November 14, before finishing at BBC’s Elstree Studios the following day.

The team will ride around the clock with all riders taking turns to do a nightshift. Ms Jones said: “This is going to be one of the toughest things I’ve ever done.

“Having supported the Rickshaw Challenge before, I know first-hand what a difference public support can make, so please, please donate and, even better, come out to the streets to cheer us on.”
