Gruesome operations from times gone by will be explored at the Museum of Oxford next Thursday.
The museum, at the Town Hall in St Aldate’s, is holding a Halloween family day where children can meet a member of staff acting as a barber’s surgeon.
From 10.30am until 3.30pm, he will be regaling visitors with gruesome details about how operations were conducted in the past.
