MORE than 100 people turned up to tonight's cuts roadshow at the Civic Hall in Wantage.
The public meeting, to discuss Oxfordshire County Council's budget cuts began at 7.30pm.
Less than half of the audience voted for a 22 per cent rise in council tax to cover the authority's £61m cuts.
Council leader Ian Hudspeth told the meeting: "You might not like what we are saying but at least we are coming out and asking you."
Similar events will be held in Didcot and Witney later this week.
