FOUR men accused of playing a part in a violent fight in Littlemore, Oxford, appeared in court yesterday.

Dexter Williams, of Coriander Way, Blackbird Leys, Adam Doyle, of Lavender Hill, Wheatley, and Waqas Khan, of Furlong Close, Oxford, all denied a charge of violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon on July 29 in Cowley Road, Littlemore.

It followed a fight which broke out outside the Taste of Jamaica takeaway in Cowley Road, Littlemore. Williams, 24, and Khan, 20, were remanded in custody at Oxford Crown Court. Doyle, 26, was released on bail.

Andre Hurst, of Broad Street, Banbury, who is accused of the same offences, is due to enter a plea on November 1. A trial date was set for January 20.
