WE are sorry that your correspondent Mr Fogden (October 11) is unhappy with Oxford Bus Company.

We regret the service left early. The driver, who had just joined the company, has been spoken to and the importance of punctuality has been impressed upon him. We don’t hide behind the terms and conditions: if a passenger has cause for complaint, we look at every case on an individual basis and strive to do what is fair and decent.

In this instance there was another bus just 20 minutes after the one Mr Fogden missed which would have taken him home safely that evening.
