A 17-YEAR-OLD suspected rapist is wanted by police after skipping a court hearing today.

Ismail Dilsoz, from Headington, is accused of raping a 14-year-old boy.

He was due to appear at Oxford Crown Court today but did not turn up.

A ban on identifying him because he is under 18 has been lifted so Thames Valley Police can appeal for the public’s help in tracing him.

Det Con Matthew Hodgetts said: “Ismail Dilsoz is wanted for a serious offence of rape and for breach of bail.

“It is believed he may still be in the Oxford area but there is a possibility he is now further afield.

“I would urge anyone who knows where he is or has information about his recent whereabouts to come forward.”

Anyone who sees Dilsoz should call 999 or if they know where he is call 101.

Dilsoz was due to appear in court alongside Ghausel Tarakhail, 19, of Cowley Road, Oxford, and Iztullah Qudrat, 18, of High Cross Way, Headington.

Tarakhail and Qudrat are accused of engaging in sexual activity with the boy. Tarakhail has denied the charge and will stand trial at a later date.

The crimes are alleged to have taken place in Oxford from May to July this year.
