AS the Cowley car plant marks 100 years in business, fans of the factory’s latest product – the BMW Mini – paid a visit.
Surrey New Mini Club visited the plant in Oxford last Friday and brought 15 of their cars.
Oxford car enthusiast Tanya Field said: “It is great to have a club that visits the plant and brings their Minis back home.
“During the centenary year, there have been a number of events to celebrate this fantastic milestone, but I feel that as well as celebrating the great variety of models which have been built at Cowley over the past 100 years, it is most important to celebrate our current model as this is the car that is currently providing employment for local people and is our future.”
