THE northbound A34 near Chieveley will be closed overnight to repair the road after an accident this morning that caused major delays in Oxfordshire.
It will be closed between East Isley High Street and the A4185 Chilton Interchange between 10pm 5am to resurface the road.
The accident this morning involved a car transporter which broke through the central reservation, spilling diesel fuel onto the carriageway.
The road was reopened after the crash, but will now be shut tonight.
The vehicle has been recovered and Highways Agency contractors are currently in the process of repairing the safety barrier.
