AS a weekly user of the Oxford Road sports facilities, I have major concerns that the users’ interests are of secondary concern to the Bicester Sports Association (BSA). Your paper urges trust, but BSA resembles a self-perpetuating secret society.
Who elected the BSA committee to their roles? Do they have a constitution? Why is what Tesco/Bicester Village paid the association for the land undisclosed and not a matter of public record?
Why don’t they publish accounts for public scrutiny?
Are the BSA committee paid for their services?
Do they charge expenses?
Who vets the expenses? What has the association to hide?
These questions need to be answered before trust can be given.
