A starving pregnant pony has been reunited with her owner six years after being stolen.
The heavily pregnant mare was so thin that her spine and hip bones could be seen and she was infested with lice and worms.
She was rescued from a field in Bloxham with an emaciated foal which was close to death.
Both animals have survived. The pregnant pony subsequently gave birth to a healthy foal. A microchip scan revealed she had an owner from Burnham, Buckinghamshire who was stunned to be reunited with his pony. She was eight months old when she was stolen from his property in 2006.
