THE importance of Uffington’s White Horse and Iron Age hillforts will be explored in a talk by a former Oxford don to members of the Wallingford Historical and Archaelogical Society.
Gary Lock, Emeritus Professor of Archaeology at the Institute of Archaeology at Oxford University, will discuss the sites alongside the neighbouring hillforts of Segsbury Camp and Alfred’s Castle.
The talk, at 8pm on Friday, November 8, is at Wallingford Town Hall, in Market Place.
Non-members are welcome to attend the talk – tickets cost £3.
