Sir –Tony Hadland, chairman of the Oxfordshire Local History Association, bemoans the lack of heritage cash for non- university museums in the county (Letters, October 3) and suggests another couple of towns in need of museums.

Looking at the county council website, I notice that there are already 37 non-university museums listed.

While each no doubt incorporates some unique feature, could it be that that the county is already over-provided for in this respect?
