DOES anyone remember Tony Blair declaring “Education, Education, Education”? Sounds a bit hollow now, and very embarrassing that an international survey has ranked young children in this country almost bottom of the league of industrial nations in literacy and numeracy. Left-wing NUT opposition to Michael Gove’s efforts to improve the way we teach children in this country prove to me that he is absolutely right.
