Tackley Primary School has celebrated going from satisfactory to good in its latest Ofsted inspection.
When it was last inspected in January 2012, shortly after headteacher Jane Chalmers began her role, it was judged to be satisfactory.
In the latest report, Ofsted inspector Mike Phipps said the results achieved by pupils have risen rapidly in the last two years.
He praised Mrs Chalmers saying she had a very positive impact on the school and since the last inspection the pupils’ achievement and quality of teaching has improved significantly.
Mrs Chalmers said: “I thought it was a very fair and honest inspection.
“We were first inspected last January and that was really about the progress that was made from the three years prior to my arrival.
“And again I thought the results of that were a fair and honest reflection.
“Less than two years later we have moved up to good with some outstanding features and that is a fantastic achievement.
“I am proud they acknowledge the significant rise in our pupils’ attainment.”
