JOSH Dennis helped himself to five goals as Drayton Wasps kicked off their season with an emphatic 8-0 victory at home to Grove Challengers in the Under 14 C League.
Nick Webster hit two fantastic long-range goals, first with his right and then his left, and Taylor Powell also found the net for Drayton.
Ardington Eagles were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Barton United in the D League, despite Joe Winterbourne’s double giving them a two-goal lead.
Bradley Pittic hauled Barton back into the game after the break, and Sulayman Meah equalised for the visitors in the dying minutes to snatch a point.
Oxford City kicked off their Under 15 A League campaign with a tense 4-3 victory at home to Didcot Town thanks to a treble from Leon Kuka.
Kuka’s first-half hat-trick gave City a 3-1 lead at the break, with a Lee Davis free-kick getting Didcot off the mark.
Sabir Ali extended the lead soon after, but Didcot pulled two late goals back through Ollie Naylor and Finlay Greenfield to set up a nervy ending.
A Keiran Herbert hat-trick helped Wallingford Town continue their impressive start to the season with a 5-0 win promoted Radley in the B League.
Josh Frazer and Jayden Carter also scored for the visitors. Ardley United opened their Under 13 B League season with a 5-1 win over Oxford City.
Ryan Costello, Hamish Hall and Jimmy Kimani and a brace from Seb Fox won it for the hosts. Max King’s late effort for City was little more than a consolation. Wheatley came out on top in a high-scoring encounter in the C League as they beat Milton United 9-6.
Harry Cudd hit a four-timer and Jack Crudgington a hat-trick, adding to goals from Joel Taylor and William Hale for the hosts.
A Joe Williams hat-trick, a Michael Moss brace and Tyrese Williams strike kept Milton in the game, but they were unable to keep pace with the home side. Goals either side of half-time from Sam Gould and Zac Jones gave Crowmarsh a 2-0 victory over Greater Leys Kites.
Calum Carrigan and Ricky Gubinelli both struck the woodwork in the second half for the hosts, who could have won by a greater margin.
Cumnor Minors Blues were 6-1 winners at Kennington Athletic Green in the Under 12 C League, with six different scorers finding the net.
Oliver Pointer, Gregor Horn, Chris Hickman, Mark Adamson, Adam Soanes and Reece Hayes were all on target for Cumnor, with Daniel Rowley scoring for Kennington with a fine strike.
A dominant second-half performance from Harwell & Hendred gave them a 5-0 home win over Crowmarsh in the A League.
Harry Fisher’s brace added to goals from Jake Moss, Joe Richardson and Cameron King. Summertown Cobras came from behind to beat Kennington Athletic Yellow 2-1.
Rayan Kehelil cancelled out Matthew Kent’s opener for Kennington before George Gompertz coolly converted a late penalty for the visitors.
Nathan Bishop’s late equaliser earned Ardington & Lockinge a 3-3 draw at Oxford City, after Sami Rashid, Luca Davies and Jack Kavanagh had given City the lead.
Joseph Flanagan and Lewis Brown put Ardington 2-0 ahead. Bampton Town Rangers and East Oxford United played out a thrilling 4-4 draw in the D League, with the hosts surrendering the lead three times during the match.
Rene Nistor and Louis Green netted a brace each for Bampton, while Fahad Self and Adam Hamad added to a Kylie Woods double to give the visitors a share of the spoils.
Florence Park were 11-3 away victors over Cold Ash, with four goals from Sam Danistan, three from Luke Bennett, two from Jeremiah Yearwood and further strikes from Liam Parker-Woodley and Franco Imbriano.
Harris Irfan netted twice for the hosts and Thomas Carrol also found the net.
Connor Cook’s long-range strike for Cholsey Bluebirds was in vain as they fell to a 7-1 defeat at home to Abingdon Youth Yellows in the Development League.
Josh Franks struck twice for the Yellows, while second-half efforts from Scott Roberts, Sam Gillet and Aiden Philips added to earlier goals from Alex Weresch and Moritz Tolle.
George Cox grabbed a four-timer as Chalgrove won 5-1 at Bardwell in the Under 10 C League. Oliver Lowman was also among the goals for Chalgrove, while Xavier Carroll found the net for the hosts.
Botley Boys beat Abingdon Youth Whites 3-0, with Albie Guliis hitting a double and William Barrett adding a late third.
