A CYCLIST is in a life-threatening condition in hospital after he was involved in a collison with a Range Rover.
The 43-year-old man from Banbury has serious head injuries and is being treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
The cyclist and a blue Range Rover were travelling on the A361 Bloxham Road in the town at about 9.20pm on Wednesday and collided.
The driver of the blue Range Rover stopped at the scene.
A section of the road was closed while road traffic officers investigated.
Traffic police officer Sgt Bryan Smith said: “We are appealing for witnesses to the incident or anyone who witnessed the movements of the vehicles prior to the collision to contact police.
“Any piece of information could be vital to determining the circumstances of the collision.”
Witnesses should call Sgt Smith on 101.
