A CHARITY worker who was caught by an off-duty top police officer putting his hands around his partner’s neck has received a community order.
Mohamed Boubbane was charged after Detective Chief Superintendent Brendan O’Dowda saw the attack at Oxford’s Westgate Shopping Centre on June 22.
The 36-year-old, of Brize Norton Road, Carterton, admitted assault by beating at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on July 10.
He was sentenced on August 15 to a community order with a domestic violence programme requirement and a 24-month supervision requirement.
Boubbane was also told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
