A WOMAN is to appeal against her jail sentence for animal cruelty.
Angela Russell is due to appear at Oxford Crown Court today to challenge the 26-week prison sentence handed to her in July.
She was convicted on 16 counts of animal welfare offences in relation to Crunchy’s Animal Rescue Centre which she ran, along with five other family members, at their home in Longworth.
Her son Robert Russell, who was jailed for 18 weeks, is no longer appealing against his sentence, the RSPCA confirmed last night.
