A MAN found with drugs worth almost £36,000 and a knuckleduster tried to drive off as police searched his car, a court heard.
Joshua Johnson of Spear Close, Luton, appeared before Oxford Crown Court yesterday.
He was arrested on Sunday, June 16, in Milton Park, Milton, near Abingdon, after police spotted him driving erratically.
When searching his Lexus car officers found “substantial” amounts of cocaine and cannabis, cash, and the knuckleduster.
Johnson told the court that he panicked when officers began to search his vehicle and tried to drive away before giving himself up.
Officers found drugs later discovered to have a street value of almost £36,000.
He was charged with dangerous driving, being in possession of Class A and Class B drugs with intent to supply and having an offensive weapon.
He pleaded guilty to all five charges against him and will be sentenced on October 3.
The 27-year-old has been remanded in custody until sentencing.
