SEVENTEEN-year-old Kit Pentlow was among the young people who went to pop-up shops to get advice about apprenticeships and possible career paths.
The event was held at an empty shop in Oxford’s Westgate Shopping Centre on Thursday and Friday and at Flashop, in Mill Street, Wantage, on August 8 and 9.
About 150 people found out about how apprenticeships could lead to a range of careers.
Oxfordshire Apprenticeships’ Paddy Patterson, from Oxfordshire County Council’s Economy and Skills team, was there giving advice to visitors.
He said: “We had the big one in Oxford to coincide with A-Level results.
“We had parents come in and lots of young people.
“We were very pleased with it. We can maybe look at doing it again in the future.”
Construction pre-apprentices from ACE Training in Kidlington fitted the shops.
The final shop will open in Castle Quay Shopping Centre, Banbury, tomorrow and on Friday.
