OXFORD United players Peter Rhoades-Brown, right, and John Trewick were put on the spot when they attended a question and answer session at Fitzharrys School, Abingdon, in 1986.
First-year pupils were asked whom they would most like to interview as part of a class project.
And when Oxford United came out on top, the club sent along the two players to be quizzed.
Fifty boys and girls had the chance to put their queries to them. Afterwards, the players donned their tracksuits and went out on to the sports field to give fourth-formers special coaching.
