FOR years if you wanted to give directions to someone on how to get somewhere you would use pub names – such as “turn left at the Queen’s Arms and turn right at the King’s Head”.
But now it’s turn left at Tesco, turn right at Sainsbury’s, go past Aldi and Lidl. We are inundated with supermarkets and it’s a shame that all the old buildings are going one by one.
