A ‘COSMIC’ art exhibition at a pop-up bookshop invites viewers to look at themselves from space.
Mark James’s Big Cosmos Art Show is currently on display at the Healthy Planet bookshop, which is using the former Habitat store at the Seacourt retail park in Botley.
The exhibition aims to take a look at everyday life from a grander perspective.
Mr James, 44, from Headington, said: “As a contemporary artist, I like looking at ordinary things as if I am from another world.
“Our everyday world is normal to us, but compared to the rest of the cosmos it is extraordinary.
“It gives you perspective on life.”
Healthy Planet, which took over the old Habitat store last year, is a charity which saves old books from landfill and gives them away for free.
Mr James added: “The books represent discarded human thought in the context of the universe.”
