Sir – If a Timelord were able to whisk the whole of the University of Oxford, and its colleges, to say Swindon, there would be no views left in the city worth preserving.
If the many groups now objecting to anything that the current University proposes building had existed in the time of Sir Christopher Wren, and his many illustrious fellow architects, then it might well have become the University of Swindon — and all houses in Oxford would now be affordable.
