ARMED police attended a home in Bicester following reports a man was carrying a firearm.
Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Lucy Billen said it was a false alarm.
Officers were alerted to a possible incident involving a man with a gun in Chapel Street at 12.20pm on Saturday.
No weapon was found and police cleared the scene at 2.30pm. No arrests were made.
