THE A34 northbound is unlikely to be fully open until 7pm following a crash between two lorries and a car.
The Highways Agency is claiming the northbound carriageway remains shut tonight but at the scene police have cordoned off the crash scene and a lane of traffic is squeezing past.
However, there are still significant delays on the route plus it is affecting other roads in the city.
As our picture shows, a car was crushed between two lorries near Peartree.
The ambulance service said a person from the car was cut free by firefighters and taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with a head injury. One other person was also treated at the scene.
A Highways Agency spokesman said it was possible the road could be fully re-opened at about 7pm.
