Staff will be seen abseiling down the side of Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital on Sunday, May 12, to raise funds.
Daredevils are invited to join them, provided they can bring in £100 in sponsorship, while the less sure-footed can watch from below.
The stunt marks National Nurse’s Day, and staff taking part are hoping to raise £5,000 to improve the waiting area in the emergency assessment unit, one of the busiest in the hospital, as well as other good causes.
The entry fee for members of the public is £10 per person, and each participant is asked to raise at least £100 in sponsorship.
