FOUR dads are tackling a 100-mile run tomorrow to raise money for their children’s pre-school.
Appleton residents Andy Queralt, 38, Rob Ford, 44, Rob Demain, 36, and Malcolm Bradbrook, 40, are running 25 miles each. They are starting from The Plough pub in Eaton Road, Appleton, at 6am.
The quartet will run one mile in turn until they reach 25 miles each. The group – who have 11 children between them – hope to finish the challenge within 14 hours and raise £2,500 for Appleton Pre-school.
Mr Bradbrook, a senior communications manager at Earthwatch in Summertown, said: “In the beginning I’m sure it will feel quite easy but after about six hours I think it will be a different story. I’m expecting some very stiff and sore legs and a few blisters to keep things interesting.”
