A ROBBER took off his trousers and threw them away as he fled with cash from a knife-point raid at the Co-op in Banbury.
Thames Valley Police yesterday appealed for witnesses to the robbery by two men between 9.48pm and 9.57pm on April 18 to come forward. Officers believe they may have seen one of them running off semi-naked.
- Paul Williams, 44, of Gatteridge Street, Banbury, has been charged with robbery and possession of a firearm and is due to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court.
A 19-year-old man, of no fixed address, also been arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of a firearm. He was released on police bail until June 26.
