A HUSBAND who admitted fraud has been jailed for nearly two years this morning.
Arron Thomas, of Coopers Lane, Abingdon, admitted five counts of fraud and three counts of transferring criminal property last month and has now been jailed for 22 months.
The 32-year-old's wife Rhianna Thomas, of the same address, was convicted of possessing more than £50,000 in criminal property and using it to buy herself a new car.
She has been handed a 15-month jail sentence suspended for two years, ordered to pay £1,000 costs and told to do 250 hours of unpaid work.
Following a four-day trial the 24-year-old was found guilty of two counts of possessing stolen property, after receiving two fraudulent cheques.
