SINGERS entertained a crowd of thousands as Witney Music Festival spilled into The Leys recreation ground for the first time.
Two outdoor stages brought about 2,500 people to the town on Saturday.
In its seventh year, the Witney Music Festival was held outside in The Leys for the first time. The experiment was hailed a huge success by organisers.
Derek West, 62, from Witney, who helped to organise the event, said: “We’re all absolutely delighted — it’s just gone so well. We had a great turnout on what was actually quite a cold afternoon.”
There were performances from the Witney Combined Choirs and bands Million Faces, The Standard, Cooper Black, 1000 Mile Highway and Rhys Fletcher.
The Witney Music Festival will continue throughout the town in pubs and other venues until Friday, May 10. See witneymusicfestival.com
