CHILDREN have been getting to grips with nature. Five-year-olds Paddy Harris and Hiroko Lodge helped look after little chicks hatched out at their school in Littlemore.
The pair, members of the foundation class at the John Henry Newman Academy, were learning about the cycle of life with their classmates.
Paddy said: “The chicks are really nice and fluffy.
“We learnt that human language and chicken language is different.”
Hiroko said: “I like chicks. They have taught us about how things grow. They are so cute, I really wanted one.”
Sara Carey, the school’s business manager, said: “It is always a brilliant success.”
Meanwhile, youngsters at Cutteslowe Primary School enjoyed a visit from Farms2Ewe mobile farm.
