Sir – Re ‘moronic attitude’ (Letters, April 11): I expect you have had many letters in agreement with Benjamin Dean who wrote the epistle (Letters, April 11) about parking at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.

I would like to add my voice, as a patient, and tell you about the stress levels when, already unwell, and having left plenty of time, the minutes tick away as all car parks say ‘no spaces’.

I am not well enough to use a bus, and not unwell enough to have a carer/chauffeur.

It just isn’t rocket science to calculate how many parking spaces are needed, is it? Or to find out if people have sold their cars because you can’t park at the hospitals — or in Oxford, come to that! So why the petty restrictions ?
