Sir – For once, I find myself writing not to complain about Christopher Gray’s latest excess, but to address the shortcoming in the home for his two theatre reviews on April 18: the Weekend section.
Ever since its redesign some months ago, you only ever (grudgingly, it would seem?) found a half page there for book reviews. The performing arts have regularly predominated. The nadir was reached on April 18: no book reviews at all.
May I ask you, as an Oxford local paper, to reconsider giving literature and the written word a reasonable amount of space in your arts supplement, please?
