GYM instructor Hester Gaylard pedalled through the pain barrier to help raise thousands of pounds in a charity spinathon.
Miss Gaylard, a member of staff at The Barn Fitness Club in Church Road, Cholsey, joined a team of 60 fundraisers for the 24-hour charity spinathon, which began at noon last Saturday.
The 20-year-old from Ardington, near Wantage, was on a spin bike from 4pm to 6pm on Saturday and from 7am to 8am and from 10am to 11am on Sunday.
Miss Gaylard said: “It was hard work but I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere in the gym was amazing.
“It was great to be part of an event raising thousands of pounds for different charities.”
Fitness centre co-owner Nancy Fanstone said nine different charities were benefiting, including Oxford Children’s Hospital, the British Heart Foundation and MacIntyre, which supports people with learning disabilities.
