WITNEY will be awash with sound as the annual Witney Music Festival descends on the town.
Pubs, clubs and churches will come alive as dozens of musicians from West Oxfordshire perform from tomorrow until May 6.
The centrepiece is a concert on The Leys recreation ground tomorrow, which is expected to attract 5,000 people.
The free event, from noon until 10pm, will feature 20 musicians across two stages, up to four bars, eight food outlets and craft displays.
Performers include Million Faces, The Standard, 1,000 Mile Highway, Von Braun and choirs Voicebox and Breakout.
Other festival highlights include a blues night at Fat Lil’s on Sunday, a beer festival at St Mary’s Church on May 3 and 4, and a concert at Cogges Manor Farm on May 6.
Festival organiser Derek West said: “I think it is going to be amazing. I am really looking forward to it.
“With The Leys being so much bigger than previous years’ events, we have been able to incorporate lots of other things.”
