OVER-running roadworks which caused headaches for Oxford drivers yesterday were set to be completed early today.

The westbound A40 is being partially resurfaced between the Cutteslowe and Wolvercote roundabouts.

The overnight work by Oxfordshire County Council was scheduled to finish at 6am yesterday but over-ran, leading to long rush-hour delays.

Work at Sunderland Avenue continued last night with diversions in place via Banbury Road and Frieze Way. It was scheduled to be completed in time for the start of the morning rush-hour today.
