More than 1,300 people who signed up for a council-led gas and electricity saving scheme will save cash, bosses have said.
Some 1,361 county residents registered for Cherwell and West Oxfordshire district councils’ ‘Better Together’ campaign to buy power in bulk.
Energy firms then offered prices to 160,000 people who joined similar UK schemes.
County bosses said 71 per cent will save cash on their current bills.
Personal offer letters are now being sent to homes.
