DIDCOT Runners’ Kirsty Reade, 40, from East Isley, ran for children’s charity Cure Rett.
She finished in three hours, 37 minutes and nine seconds, which was longer than she was hoping for, but she has raised more than £1,000 for her charity.
Ms Reade, said: “It wasn’t my greatest day, I am a bit disappointed. I was hoping for under three hours 30 minutes but I felt a bit under the weather, and given the circumstances I didn’t do too badly.”
Rett Syndrome is a developmental disorder which affects mostly girls under the age of two.
Ms Reade said she was inspired to run for the charity when a friend’s daughter was diagnosed with the condition.
She set herself a target of £500, and already has £520, which her employer, Palgrave Macmillan publishers, has promised to double.
