A man in his 40s was arrested and hospitalised in Headington following a firearms incident in Bristol.
Avon and Somerset Police were called to reports of a gun being discharged in the Easton area of the city at about 9.30pm on Thursday.
At 2.30pm the next day South Central Ambulance service responded to a “medical emergency” involving the suspect at Bury Knowle Park.
The man was taken, under arrest, by ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
