PAUL Hobson has been appointed the new director of Modern Art Oxford.
He will succeed Michael Stanley, who took his own life last year aged 37 after battling with depression.
Mr Hobson, who will take up the role in September, joins the Pembroke Street gallery from the Contemporary Art Society in London which he has been director of since 2007.
