SOUTH Central Ambulance Service has hit out at a prankster who wasted resources on April Fools’ Day.
It received a 999 call at 10.23am to a man who had been stabbed in Headington, Oxford, but it emerged the ‘patient’ had texted a friend to say he had been knifed as a joke.
Ambulance service spokesman James Keating-Wilkes said: “This individual has wasted almost £500 of taxpayers’ money.”
