A NURSERY school and children’s centre has been granted permission to use a temporary building on its site for a further five years.
Grandpont Nursery School and Children’s Centre, for children aged three to seven, uses a temporary building as an extension to its main building in Whitehouse Road, South Oxford.
At a meeting of Oxfordsire County Council’s planning and regulation committee yesterday councillors agreed to allow the building to continue to be used until April 2018.
The councillors were told that the building is in reasonably good condition, is fit for purpose and well-used.
The committee heard the children’s centre offers services including health visitors and dads’ groups, and there are spaces for confidential discussions with parents.
