A BOAT has been refloated months after spending months partly-submerged.
The narrow boat, which sank close to Godstow Lock near Wolvercote during heavy rain and high water levels last November, was finally pulled up on Saturday. A team from Oxford Cruisers in Eynsham was drafted in to get the boat out using a digger and boat-mounted crane. Wolvercote city councillor Mike Gotch, said: “Everybody is very pleased the boat has now been refloated so it can now be towed off and repaired.”
Another boat, which also sank near Osney Lock last autumn, is due to be removed tomorrow by the same team.
