A man yesterday admitted a series of charges relating to attempts to crash Internet websites, including Oxford University’s.
Lewys Martin, 21, previously of Dover Road, Walmer, in Kent, admitted the charges under the Computer Misuse Act at Maidstone Crown Court in relation to the attacks, which also targeted Cambridge University and Kent Police.
He attacked Oxford University’s website in 2011 and again in 2012, causing it to go offline for about 30 minutes in January last year.
He will be sentenced at the court in May.
