A NEW Cycle King shop could open in two to three weeks.
The popular bike store destroyed by a huge fire in Cowley Road might re-locate soon to a new site further up Cowley Road.
Bosses are hoping to sign a contract for temporary premises within the next week while the old shop is being restored.
Flames up to 15 feet high ruined Cycle King on March 31.
Senior manager Elliott James said: “We are planning to move not very far away, just up the Cowley Road.
“We have a few options in mind but we are looking into a site just opposite the O2 Academy, which was a furniture shop but is empty at the moment.
“We are hoping to sign a contact soon and be up and running in two to three weeks. We can’t afford not to be trading.
“At the moment it is all guesswork as to how long it will take for the original store to be up and running again. It is pretty charred so it may well take a while.”
