Sir – Perhaps David Cameron should listen to many of his own constituents who are striving to stop his local council, West Oxfordshire District Council (WODC), from making fools of themselves — and, by association, him — by building 700 homes opposite RAF Brize Norton.
Doubtless the left-wing press will make great capital of the ‘Tory arrogance’ in expecting young home buyers to jump for joy at the chance to purchase homes immediately opposite Britain’s largest military airbase when other far more
eco-friendly local sites are available.
Mr Cameron’s constituency home is near Chipping Norton, far away from the round- the-clock aircraft noise, air and light pollution that his own council plans to inflict upon young families in the proposed Carterton East development.
Good to know ‘We’re all in it together’
