NEVER mind who committed the murders in Death on the Nile, or on the Orient Express, the question I want answered is – have Wallingford residents got nothing better to do than reveal to the world that famous author, Agatha Christie, sometimes suffered from constipation? (April 5). Now when I read one of her books or watch an episode of Poirot, I shall have certain visions of Agatha. Perhaps those snooping Wallingford residents could inform me if there’s anything I should know about authors Phillip Pullman or Colin Dexter before I settle down and read one of their books.
